Welcome to Stow and

Heriot Church

“Welcome to the website of Stow St Mary of Wedale and Heriot Church of Scotland.

This is a small, rural parish consisting of the villages of Stow, Fountainhall and Heriot and associated farming lands. The parish is part of the Presbytery of Melrose and Peebles.

Our aim is to make the love of God, through Jesus Christ, known throughout our parish and beyond.

With two church buildings to choose from, there’s a place in Stow and Heriot Church for everyone.  Whether you live in the parish, or are visiting on holiday, or would simply like to find out more about the life of our church, we hope you enjoy these pages and will come and see us.  If you have any questions, do contact us.”

We have designated 2018 as our Year of the Promise.

In our Sunday morning worship, we will be looking at the sure promises of God and what they mean for those who believe in Jesus Christ.  There will be other visits and events during the year too, as we seek to share the privilege of living as children of God’s Promise.

Our churches are open throughout the year for a short time of worship as follows - all are welcome:

Stow Church:

Monday to Friday 9.30am

Heriot Church:

Wednesdays 10.30am

Prayer requests may be made at any time to the Minister or an elder, and these will be kept confidential.
